This article shows a photo of a correct compressor with a clutch disc that has 3 cylindrical counterweights and a splined shaft that uses a locking key. The new supercharger fits, but the new supercharger has a different counterweight on the clutch disc and a splined shaft holding it. If you have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L RWD V8, the supercharger will work, but if you try to just replace the spool, clutch disc and plate, forget it. ACDelco decided to redesign the product and use the same part number. Going to the auto parts store won't get you anywhere either, because the part they got from ACDelco for the original compressor doesn't have 3 counterweights and is 6" in diameter instead of the 4.6" you want.
