I use it with the ClicGear golf cart umbrella holder. The holder has an elastic cord that is supposed to keep the umbrella in the holder when it is windy. It didn't help and I had to chase after the umbrella when the wind blew. I added a spring cord lock to the elastic cord and simply synced it around the umbrella shaft. It keeps the umbrella in place no matter how windy it is. Now I have to remember to fold the umbrella before leaving when the wind is blowing, otherwise the whole cart will be blown away.
