Before that I used a pair of Ostry kc09s with a 2nd gen Fiio X5 with a Fiio A3 amp connected to it and everything was fine in my world. I decided to take a chance after Zeos recommended them and I knew I couldn't go wrong at the price. At first I didn't like her. I felt they were too light in the bass and I found the highs to be painful for me. Only their tonal signature lacked weight. Of course, Ostry are single-rider monsters. I liked the T2's wide soundstage and crystal clear resolution, but they didn't work for me so I sent them back. I'm now convinced they sent me a pair of T2 Pro which should be bigger. After doing some more research, I decided to upgrade to Tin T3, which I really like. They sound exactly how I want a T2 to sound, but the T3 lacked something of the wider soundtrack and better definition. In the end, when I suddenly had a little more money, I decided to give the T2 another chance. I am now more convinced than ever that they sent me the T2 Pros first because I immediately liked the new T2s. I started wearing them open with the standard blue grommets, leaving the cords hanging straight down. Then, out of curiosity, I tried the trick of putting a piece of tape over the nozzle opening. However. I then removed the tape and placed them upside down with the wires behind the ears. Boom went bass. No stupid bloated bass, but a wonderful "real" bass. At one point I even decided that I felt the bass was too much, so I turned off the bass boost on my amp, which was always on until then. I don't know if I'm used to it or what, but I can't imagine needing more bass. You are perfect. In conclusion, I would say wear them inside out and get a proper seal.
