The seams and sheerness of these shorts mean they can’t really be worn alone. Only the blue ones weren’t completely see-through. They work great under a dress or skirt for extra coverage, though! I wore them for multiple 3mi city walks (flat, not strenuous) under a skirt and they didn’t ride up. My skirts did kind of stick to the shorts, but not so much that a step or a little shimmy didn’t fix the draping. Shorts didn’t ride up much at all while walking, maybe a couple centimeters. My thighs had zero chafing after, and though the inseam isn’t comfortable enough to wear without undies, it’s not so bulky as to chafe when I walked. Shorts did ride up while wearing as sleep shorts.
