My 9 month old kitten has started reaching into doors and the corners of furniture which is normal but at the same time he is digging in his claws. I unpacked this and put the base on the floor while assembling the rack, it was on the base and scratched for a few seconds and then once assembled it followed me until I put it down and it took no time to start scratching and playing. She loves it and looks for it whenever she needs to stretch, but also loves toys attached to it and scratching her brush. We are both very happy with this purchase.
