We have 2 different Petcube cameras (product models below) and they have mostly worked well for us after a year or more. We don't pay a monthly subscription, we only use them for live streams and goodies. I'm sharing some of our small complaints here as most of the best features have already been shared so well (thanks!). Unfortunately, the night vision makes this so we can't see the treat at night. They are on opposite sides of the room and during the day we can photograph treats and then switch to another camera to see if they ate them or nothing came out etc. At night the night vision ensures the camera shines like a bright a looks like a patch of light and we can't see what's going on there (see photo). I've emailed Petcube to see if they have a hack for this and will update my review if I hear from one. We have tried tape over various lights/sensors but nothing has worked so far. Please share if you have any thoughts on this? The bite model has a treat throw and our cats were afraid of it at first but they quickly grew to love it. To smile. Even on the lowest setting, it shoots across the room where their trays are (small room). I chopped it up so they (mostly) end up on the trays underneath. I think an additional accessory for cat owners would be a good seller or a shorter litter option. Upload photos of both questions above. Seahawks duct tape was the fastest thing to do when preparing for a vacation haha! Another recommended improvement would be the zoom. If their food bowl is in the bottom right corner of the image and we need to zoom in to see if it's empty, we should zoom in at least 7 times, that's how many times we need to scroll. It was so tedious and a waste of time that we moved the food and cameras to do their plate of food on the left side of the screen lol. than once. We ended up using a couple of screws at the top and one centered at the bottom (smaller camera) to keep it vertical. A better mounting solution would be nice; The treat has never fallen and is very reliable. It seems easy to clog when there are bits of dehydrated goodies in the mix. Dried chunks and crunchy treats are good, but not our cats' first choice. To smile. While some of these features frustrate my slight OCD tendencies and the app is naughty at times, I'd say overall we're happy with both. Sometimes you have to open and close the app multiple times before it connects, but that usually takes seconds or a few minutes. Recommended. Hope this helps someone!
