My wife and I found this camera after looking for a present for her father. We liked it so much that we bought it for ourselves. I had some basic criteria of what I wanted from a handheld camera based on what bothered me about other cameras. First, the camera must use AA batteries instead of the built-in rechargeable battery. My experience is that the built in battery will eventually need to be replaced as the charging time gets shorter and shorter with each charge and if it dies you're out of luck until it's recharged. Second, SD card storage. SD cards are cheap and most laptops have SD card readers. Micro SD cards are too small to handle easily. Third, a camera that can take both photos and videos. I take many pictures with this camera and post them on an online blog. All the pictures taken with this camera look great to me. This camera doesn't have a flash, but I think low light shots look good too. I had to do some digging to find out if this camera could take photos as the promotional materials don't specifically mention it and I was glad it could. Other nice things about this camera are that it comes with a case, tripod, charger and batteries. We paid $59.95 for it and we think it's worth the money. Please note that I am not a professional photographer and do not have sufficient photographic knowledge to properly use a pro's advanced controls. camera support. I really liked quick and easy shooting with different cameras like this one.
