I've had this flash for a few years now, it still works perfectly. I usually use it for event photography where ETTL saves me time. The main problem I have is that the trigger pin is different from most flashes, so radio triggers (like cowboy studios or cacti) don't trigger (so in those cases I just use it as an optical slave and shoot it manually or with one TTL cable [and use my other flashes in optical slave mode]). Also, I'll have to send it to Sigma for an update as I've updated my main camera and flash and the camera doesn't communicate too well (free update from Sigma in NY so I'll just miss my flash a little). It was my first flash and it helped me a lot to understand the light and not to be afraid of the light anymore. strobes. I would recommend that you also get a TTL cable to move the flash off the lens axis (out of the camera).
