Holy. Cow. I can honestly say this is the best base product I have ever used. And just to give you some context, I've worked in product development in the beauty industry for several years and I'm also a total basics junkie. I follow foundations reviews closely and have literally tried over 100 different foundation products in my lifetime. These products, this $7 product, quickly became my HG. I have weird skin - it's tight and dry when I wash my face, but I get oily throughout the day. I hate wearing powder because it sticks to my skin weirdly, but I have to wear it all the time because I hate super matte foundations. Regardless, I tried this one because one of my favorite Foundation reviewers loved it. I was amazed at how incredibly smooth this thing made my skin. I have quite a lot of acne scars on my cheeks and nothing blurs them - nothing. This was the first product I have used in my life that has really reduced the appearance of my scars. Sure, I used Tatcha Silk Canvas underneath, but this primer hasn't cleared my scars or my pores with any other product. In fact, it hasn't served me well in the past - I only wore it because it was expensive and I wanted to use it up. And now, 8 hours after applying, my face makeup (including the blush and bronzer, which are usually stained and partially worn by now) still looks PERFECT despite not having powdered at all. No oiliness in the T-zone (never seen before!), no separation, no sticking to dry or textured areas, not even acne scar reappearance. It literally looks like I just put it on ten minutes ago. All of that, and it's not exactly matte where it kind of kills the skin - your skin just looks soft, washed out and velvety smooth. I immediately went back to make a backup once I checked the mirror after 8 hours. I'm SO excited to find a BB cream that outperforms the most expensive foundations and costs a little more than a latte. Covergirl, you didn't used to be my favorite brand, but you kicked her out of the park. This is pure gold, folks! Pull yourself together!
