Review on KEF LS50 Meta (Pair by Brian Trotter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic speakers: Can't beat their small size

I'm still trying to figure out why Revain is asking for the "Transparency" and "Thickness" ratings. ? / Anyway, I read and watched reviews on these speakers before delving into them and eventually built my AV system around them. These aren't my first KEFs, so I knew KEF offered accuracy and build quality. I'm getting older and have less time to try out a "problematic" speaker that might look great but doesn't have the physics and acoustics behind it to might sound exceptional. phenomenal time alignment like a point source. These coaxial speaker mini speakers belong to the second category. I played them at full range first and they were great and surprising at base too. I then decided to make their drivers more realistic and relieve them by adding a 1.2-kilowatt Velodyne powered subwoofer. in the mix. My center channel is played by Martin Logan with three speakers and a ribbon tweeter, which is also fantastic. I moved the full-range electrostatic system to the back of the surround room. (These are Acoustat 1+1 speakers with Medallion transformers.) I had to eliminate sound reflections off our oak floors with a very plush rug, rug, and various furniture. More importantly, these KEFs rest on their natural sand-filled metal bases, which are fairly short and close to the ground. The soundstage is fully 3D at this stage and I never thought there would be such a big difference in the source. Material. I am very happy with these speakers and they look fantastic in their designer colors too. I settled on an off white and ended up buying a TV stand to match KEF and their bolt on stands. These speakers are cat pajamas! ;-)
