"You get what you pay for" is putting it mildly; I bought a refurbished adapter a few years ago for only $1 more than this adapter and it worked great (but I lost it so I bought this one). As soon as I connected my studio headphones to this adapter, the sound quality improved. because it's so distorted! I was very disappointed and this adapter does not fit me at all. To make matters worse, you cannot return this item. The tech support page and phone number to call on the returns page doesn't get you anywhere (I've tried). So beware buyers. If decent sound quality isn't important to you, especially when it comes to music, find a refurbished adapter for around the same price, or buy a more expensive one and save yourself the pain of that cheap thing.
