Review on πŸŽ’ Expandable Military Tactical Backpack - ARMYCAMO by Adam Gardner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mixed with this one of the best Camping backpack

Bought as a bug bag. My Maxpedition Sitka didn't fit everything I wanted to carry, so I took this to carry a tarp, some groundcloth and a full survival kit. First, the bag is really big (if you want it). Expands to the point where you can overflow it. I was surprised at how much I could actually put into this thing. With all the things I put into it I still have room for more than 5 stars for this one. MOLLE - why did they put MOLLE vertically on the side of this backpack? Useless IMO. I have a couple knives with sheaths that could go in there if the MOLLE was horizontal like the back of a backpack. The only usable MOLLE is located at the very back of the backpack with an elastic cord. 0 stars for that. That's the only reason I wanted to return it, but since the package is so big, I can live with it. Water bottle holder, quite flimsy and looks like it won't get much use, very fine mesh. For that 2 stars. Accessories, buckles, belts and zippers are in good condition. I will say that they do not have the same quality as the Maxpedition package, but then you are not paying the Maxpedition price. They must endure if not abused. 3.5 stars for that. I'm certainly not going to be harsh on zippers - they'll probably still work if you're careful with them. Color is listed as Multicam 8001 - close but not true multicam compared to solid colors. It's just one color (close but not cigar) so 4 stars for that. I was surprised to find two small pouches attached to the backpack's shoulder straps. They are alright. One has a pseudo-MOLLE mount, the other doesn't, both have plastic clips. Good for a small flashlight or multi-tool, but they just hang on your backpack straps unless you use a zip-tie to secure them. Not a well thought out application IMO. I wish there were some MOLLE attachment points on the shoulder straps and MOLLE on the two small pockets. For a $40 bag, this isn't bad at all and I would recommend it for that purpose. Basically put whatever you think you need in it and hope you never have to use it. Not sure if I expect it to last long given frequent use for hiking and outdoor camping. Loaded about 25 pounds of trash into the shaft and dressed. Rides well enough and can be adjusted to comfortably fit an average height adult.
