I really like this product. It's very small as many buyers were dismayed (large index card size) but perfect for one small project at a time; the two could be linked together or another larger product could be used for a larger project. The product smells rather industrial, but I don't find it overpowering or disturbing. This is a high quality silicone material. It is transparent, so it can be placed on any colored surface. It holds tiny beads, sequins, and details in place without getting sticky while the project is being put together. I use a beading needle to pick up very small beads or sequins. Even large beads can be easily threaded onto it. It picks up lint and dirt, but a quick rinse with water cleans it instantly. The only note on Bead Smith is to make the logo smaller on the mat; it distracts while working. Otherwise, I highly recommend this product.
