We all know that key fobs with breakable nails are difficult to open by adding or removing a key. Based on the photos these rings had little material when opened and I was hoping this would make them easier to open. While the photos are accurate, the metal is actually very strong and resilient, making rings *almost* as difficult to open as other rings I've owned. split opening. However, this strong spring action makes it difficult to get larger keys, such as car keys, through the hole. My search for easy to open rings continues, but I will keep them and use them for purposes that don't require frequent replacement. However, to be honest, the set doesn't claim to be easy to open, so I can't take points for my disappointment. This is an inexpensive set of 80 (!) rings in 4 different sizes, from the smallest to the largest. The metal is not as dark or black as shown in the photos but has a greyish semi-polished sheen. They are STRONG, making them suitable for other uses that require the attachment of a ring. If you need a variety of steel rings with good strength, you can't go wrong with these.
