Supplied folded. It stands upright after being partially filled. When full, it stands securely. When you zip the zip around the case, the end of the zip extends about 6 inches outside the case. You never have to strain to grab the zipper. The slots are covered with a cloth that has never damaged my discs. When you take out the disc, you can fold half of the page as a bookmark. To add discs, turn it clockwise for easier loading (thanks, Tara J.). The materials it is made of are good if treated reasonably. I have 2 full ones and am ordering a 3. A note on styling the DVD box: I keep mine in a slipcase, stuff them in plastic sleeves instead of paper and put 2 sleeves in back to back.
