You have to use it correctly.

Chic design. I've read some reviews that the lid doesn't fit, but they don't use it properly. It must be used with the brew basket installed. The brewer's tongue should be directly over the handle. The cover has a rubber gasket that is pressed tightly against the diffuser. You pour tea by holding the brew tab with your thumb as you pour, which is your thumb's natural position when pouring anyway. When you take out the diffuser, the cap just falls out. Tie decorative thread or ribbon etc. from the handle of the kettle lid to the top of the handle, loosely enough to allow the lid to fit next to the kettle. This is a very nice pot with a nice shape. Ceramic keeps tea nice and hot, something glass teapots can't do. This is one of the few ceramic teapots with a diffuser. This is a fantastic product.
