INCONVENIENT UPDATE: I called Simple Human about the warranty discussed below. In over 3 months they have not attempted to correct the erroneous product description above stating a 5 year warranty. Unfortunately I have to lower my rating to one star this time. In everyday use, this device is worth four stars, but there's no excuse for not fixing such an important bug. REVIEW: We're big fans of SimpleHuman. We understand that their products have a premium price tag, but we don't care if the product will last or if the company is behind it. I used to refuse to buy their automatic soap dispensers. Despite being beautifully designed, users have until now been forced to purchase proprietary soap refills at the ridiculously ridiculous price of $6 for a 10-ounce refill. It's terribly expensive. A bottle of Method's excellent foaming soap is less than half the price. Finally, this pump comes with a reusable canister. So what's the problem? First of all, it's a guarantee. Even well-made automatic soap dispensers have a fairly high failure rate. This one caught my attention because the product listing advertises a five-year warranty. However, I received the product today and the materials it contains only come with a two year warranty. I hope that the list of products will be corrected soon. For an $80 Prestige item, it's not worth the risk if it comes out with a two-year warranty instead of the five-year warranty I thought I was getting.
