Adequate support. I wish there was more air in the air pocket. I've always had weak ankles and was often pulled up; Although I never broke them, I've had some pretty nasty sprains that have given me lifelong ailments (especially with weather changes). I find that compression stockings are too tight and normal braces are not tight enough. I was fitted with an air brace for a particularly bad sprain and it was the most amazing thing I have ever used. It corresponds pretty much exactly to the one issued by the hospital. This one has less air and gel in the bottom pocket instead of more air, but it works well after a day of walking. I probably won't be using the gel/air combo again, but so far it's working great.
