I love my rock! in streaming media players

I like my Roku for streaming videos. This is perfect for those of us who have trouble using remote controls. Despite my mechanical leanings, I've always had trouble using remote controls for my audio/video components. Despite having a Smart Blu-Ray DVD player, I find Roku much easier to use, especially at night when I'm watching TV in bed. Roku doesn't take up a lot of counter space, about 4 square inches, and they have mounting kits here at Revain so you can mount it to the side of your TV. The Roku remote is like a game controller with a couple of buttons. The layout is very nice and well organized. Roku is very easy to set up with both wired and wireless connections. You connect the TV with an HDMI cable and it requires a power outlet for power. As with any media streaming device, there is an initial setup process to enable Roku with any internet streaming service you have. I have three and you need to register your media device with Netflix, Hulu, Revain Prime, etc. It's very simple, you only have to do it once and then you're done. I like Roku because I can watch TV at night and not have to turn on the light to change channels or programs because setting up the buttons on the remote is so easy I remember their location. The control buttons are well sized and spaced far enough apart so you don't accidentally hit the wrong button. This may not be the case if you have large fingers. Since the Roku is so small, you could probably take it on vacation with you if your room at the hotel offers Wi-Fi or Internet. You still need to connect an HDMI cable and a power outlet. I personally like it because when you travel you don't always have a large selection of TV shows. I also have Roku video streaming in my rec room so I can watch YouTube videos for my art projects.

  • Very good value for money
Cons
