I recently got back to vinyl. I bought this subwoofer for the Andover Spinbase (2nd generation) speaker system with the option to add a player to the Spinbase. The Spinbase with the integrated premium speakers sounds great on its own. But for even deeper bass, Spinbase has a 3.5mm subwoofer jack. That's why I bought this subwoofer. I only use this subwoofer to play music. It does a great job of adding bass to the system. He completes the system by adding lower notes to music that contains lower notes. The subwoofer has multiple connectivity options, including Bluetooth. I used the wire connection option. Works great with music playback. It can also be used for home theater, but if you want wall-shaking bass from movie explosions, I think you need a much larger, more powerful subwoofer. However, if you just want to add more bass to a movie soundtrack, it's probably fine. Just don't expect it to work as a $4 or $5 movie subwoofer. As for my music setup, this is exactly what I was looking for. It's small, not heavy, has multiple connectivity options, and sounds great in a small to medium sized room.
