A modern take on age-old traditions

Swaddling not swaddling is a moot point. We were swaddled, or so our parents assure us. But then, disposable diapers had not yet been invented, and I'm afraid that there was no particular alternative to swaddling in the first months of a child's life. Now many are for free swaddling. True, each mother puts her own meaning into the concept of "free swaddling", only she understands it :) I haven't thought about this controversial issue for a very long time. I definitely decided for myself that this bag, in which the baby doll lies at attention and only her cheeks stick out, I will not fence for anything. And I will immediately dress the little prince in normal human clothes. And everything would have gone as planned, if I had not come across a product catalog from Red Castle! And there - a marvelous miracle - a swaddling blanket Miracle Blanket, commonly referred to as "French diaper". And of course, I couldn't pass by! What is a "French diaper"? This is not the usual piece of cloth of one quality or another 100 by 100 or more, with which you still think what to do, but a specially tailored envelope with smells. Put a baby doll on such a diaper, put the legs in a pocket, fix the handles with two small wings sewn to the diaper and after a large, so to speak, wing, wrap the baby doll entirely. The legs seem to be fixed, on the other hand, there in the pocket the baby doll can move them freely. You don't want to swaddle your feet. please don't put them in your pocket and that's it. To the diaper, you will not believe, the whole instruction is attached! Plus a video on the Internet (link below). Everything is simple and understandable even to those who had previously seen baby dolls exclusively in the pictures of friends. The material is excellent - soft cotton jersey. Lots of colors! The manufacturer also writes about the anti-colic effect. Well, like a slight pressure on the tummy during fixation with a large "wing". My opinion is that this is nothing more than a publicity stunt, of course, but they write - you will read it :) In general, you won't be disappointed! As in that old joke: "Stunned, give me two!" In general, I wanted four, well, for rewashing, but apparently I gathered the remnants of the then still pregnant mind in a pile and settled on two. In the maternity hospital, as soon as they brought me all my dowry from the storage room, I immediately took off the government-owned baby doll (the maternity hospital is cool, but it’s better not to see what they dress and swaddle children in, and what mothers are dressed in, I’m generally silent) and wrapped it in a new diaper. We must pay tribute to the creators of this miracle, I did it the first time! She laid the bag next to her and sniffled :) "The French diaper justified itself," I thought. "You don’t have long to rejoice,” thought the pot-bellied little thing, sniffing nearby. And indeed, there was little time to rejoice. The very next day, after a decent sleep after the birth procedure, the little prince decided that the time had already come to show everyone present that he was a very, very freedom-loving person and there was no need to encroach on this very freedom, even if through the "French diaper". In general, he won his hands! All at first he groaned in independent attempts to pull them out, then he languished, and later he already fought back, but he managed to get his sweet hands back to him. I didn't swaddle him again, not even once. Yes, of course, like all babies in the first months, he often woke himself up with these same pens, but with swaddled pens, he basically did not fall asleep. Therefore, the French diaper, as well as the traditional one, did not take root with us, and the second copy remained never worn at all, as they say. The only downside is that the product is overpriced. But this is Red Castle, a markup for the brand. If you set a goal, then you can sew a similar little thing yourself. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with babies who are allowed to swaddle!
