I have very long, very thick hair and I don't want to wear a hair tie all the time or mess with a thousand bobby pins that I lose. I recently learned to tie my hair with pencils and I loved it. I felt cool and it was easy to do. I wanted something different that was pretty, and I could tie my hair up for a wedding or a date, something like that, and it was perfect. They are strong and hold my hair well. I can even wear a low bun, which I couldn't do with pencils, and in some cases all I need is a stick. They are beautifully designed and match my hair color and I just love how they look historical! I feel like a Victorian lady in it!
