For an inexpensive set of bowls and spoons, they do the job. The bowls are very light and perfect for the little hunger. My 2.5 year old daughter loves choosing the color she wants to use and I also feed this to my 8 month old. We bought these for travel so I love that they fold up and are so light. The handles of the spoons are easy to hold for my baby when eating alone and for my husband and I when we are feeding the baby. The shape of the end of the spoon that holds the food is nice - it's not too shallow for me to serve thin purees or soups, and not so deep that my kids can't reach the food from underneath. The only downside to the spoons is that the end that holds the food has melted on three of them! The only thing we can understand is that the water in the dishwasher gets too hot. We can't think of any other possibility, but our water heater isn't even set very high, which surprises us. We threw in three spoons with melted tips.
