Light arrived on time and intact. I installed 12 of these lights and only had to climb into the attic once to run the cable along the wall to the Leviton Dimmer Smart Switch. The only "pain in". There were round 4 inch switch boxes. There aren't enough plastic edges to seal the drywall around the hole, so pushing the box down isn't as easy as some people think. I drilled 2 holes and found the trusses. I bought a flat pancake box and just installed the light. It's a great thing to have, minimal loft work and versatility. The light is bright at full power and pure bright light. With a smart Leviton dimmer switch, I can control the speed at which the light turns on or off. I can also control how much brightness I want the light to turn on and have the light work flawlessly. I messed up a light during installation because I left too many wires in the switch box. When tightening the screws to install the light, I went through the plastic. Otherwise the quality is good. We have a quilt with intricate patterns on it, not popcorn but something they did with the quilt in the 80's. the fixings have a small gap between the fixing and the ng ceiling but nothing a little white sealer wouldn't take care of. All in all I liked them. Pulling the cable from box to box took longer than installing the lamps. For the first 2 I have about 2 hours because of what Ibhad did. I set up 4 in the kitchen in about 1 hour and 6 in the living room (help from the woman with the wire) in about 3 hours from start to finish. I used a base 31/2 feet from the wall, about 4 feet apart, and it was almost right. There are shadows on the wall, some if nothing can be done about them, but I was also looking at a ceiling fan and needed to position the light around it to make it look right.
