This is a great non-music toy! I try very hard to limit the number of toys that do all the work for my baby and make a lot of noise. I sit at home with him all day and I need to protect my mind from nasty toys, and I also want toys that help him develop different skills and creativity. That fits the bill. When my son was younger he enjoyed hitting little bugs and watching them bounce. Then he happily licked all the buttons and levers. Now he's learning to use handles and levers. The most difficult is definitely the orange one, as it requires a more focused movement and the rest can be done a bit easier. They all make a fairly faint noise when turned on to encourage their use, but there's no annoying song or anything loud. He loves it and uses it every day when he is in the toy rotation. Even his little friends think it's great. An absolute hit and a great price too! It also examines cause and effect. Only criticism is that the paint has peeled off a bit after a few months. I don't think my son swallowed anything, but he was more likely wiping himself from being taken to friends' houses, on vacation, etc.
