I got this in hopes I won't have to lift a gallon of milk off a door or shelf again. That puts a strain on my shoulder after replacing both. The first gallon worked great, the second gallon not so much. I changed the batteries, although I put new ones in, nothing, rolled the batteries back and forth and switched places. After more than an hour of fumbling, it finally worked. Third gal. Nothing I tried worked and it's too late to return it. Not worth the money, time or effort.
