This is a 12 inch model. My little pump has Black Skin Disease (it's NOT a disease. It's because of bad DNA). She's lost hair on the back of her neck and that's where the body heat sensors are! So small, she lives in a cooler temperature zone around wooden floors (cold absorbs/absorbs heat). This shirt is great for keeping cozy during the day and she's hot in one light sweater. This becomes a kind of second skin or "second fur" for them. Their belly size is 18 inches (what they call "chest") and the length from neck to tail is around 16-17 inches. tight but not too tight. The shirt has an elastic hem (that stretches from side to side on the dog's bottom). This will prevent the shirt from slipping over the dog. I will buy more I looked at many dog shirts and chose this one, it was a very good choice.
