The size chart is misleading. I had to buy two. First, the size I had to give my daughter is too small. Then X-Large, which finally fit my foot. In the first case, I chose the size according to the shoe size, and it turned out to be smaller than my foot. And according to the scheme, the daughter was of medium height, but the tall one suited her. As an ankle brace, I bought these for my Achilles tendonitis. I felt no relief. On the contrary, I felt too much pressure to the point of being uncomfortable. The straps make it bulky which makes it impossible to wear with some types of shoes. I ended up buying a much cheaper alternative from a different brand at my local pharmacy and got better results and I can use them with whatever shoe I like.
