My son loved playing with his sister's sand so I thought we could give him his own for his 3rd birthday. When I saw this set I knew it was perfect. Boy was I right! Oh my goodness! He had so much fun playing with cars, digging ditches, laying roads and collecting "rubble". When we first opened the case I thought there was almost no sand in the set, which disappointed me; However, once he actually started playing, the sand seemed to fill the box quickly. That's definitely a decent amount of sand. My little one doesn't always make sure the sand stays in the container but since the sand sticks to itself I found it pretty easy to clean. One of my favorite features is the lid! I will never understand why more free kids toys/activities don't have lids. It has a lid secured with clips on each side and a carry handle! Hats off to whoever came up with this because he thought of everything!
