Still, this is a good shirt. The buttons are sewn on with low-tenacity cotton thread, only four stitches on each button. I wore a new shirt to the grocery store and two buttons came off before I got home. I found one of the torn buttons but the other was missing. Luckily there are spare buttons on the inner tag. After I sewed on the missing buttons with polyester thread and re-reinforced the remaining buttons, I got a nice shirt. Obviously some quality control issues or those who have ever been responsible for attaching buttons hate their job. I wouldn't complain if it was $8.96 cheap at Walmart, but it's a $50 shirt. No apologies for poor button processing. Minus two stars.
