Decent quality and don't take up too much space for so many steps. It can be folded for storage, but it's quite bulky and not very easy to move around, so I doubt I'll be doing that much. I have a small dog with back problems who used a stool to jump onto our fairly high bed so we needed something that required less jumping. I put him instead of a stool, and suddenly the little bastard forgot how to use the stairs. All day I couldn't figure out how to get up and walk around in front of him. It took him a while to get used to it, but he managed. I had to adjust it a bit. The stairs are covered with very thin felt. My dog's claws slipped over it making it difficult to reach it. For a few steep steps, it definitely needs to be covered a little thicker. I applied some of these self-adhesive carpet treads from my local hardware store and it made a world of difference.
