Honestly, if you're looking for something to make your red-eyed flying "comfortable" this isn't it. Other than that, I don't think anything can make red-eyed flying comfortable. However, this pillow makes it less uncomfortable. It's very soft (it still feels like a firm pillow) and the memory foam is quite nice. It's a bit big so it almost looks like a ruff, but I'd rather hang my head anywhere I think. It's great that it comes with an eye mask and earbuds, but for now I'm sticking with my own earbuds. The tote bag is comfortable (you just have to squeeze the pillow a little to put it back in the bag) and has a drawstring that can slip over the handle of your luggage set or tie to a backpack or whatever. it's easily accessible, but it doesn't bother.
