I decided to try this adapter since it looks to have a nice strain relief between the cable and plug ends (this area is typically a point of failure). Unfortunately after several minutes of listening with these it would randomly start to pop and crackle, and then not long after than fail completely with a very loud and uncomfortable max volume static noise, even with the device volume set low. You have to unplug it from the device to reset it, but you can count on it occurring again. Too bad because the strain relief was a nice feature and the sound quality while it was working was better than other similar adapters I have tried.
