Review on Basecamp Skeleton Gloves: Stylish Skull Gloves for Men & Women – Ideal for Cycling, Motorcycle & Halloween Parties by Jack Malloy

Dangerously unsuitable for cycling.

These gloves absorb sweat like a sponge and then release it like a sponge when squeezed. Also, the palms are quite slippery when wet. So I drove for a long time, sweating profusely in gloves, and then when I had to stop abruptly, my hands almost slipped off the steering wheel. I drove over a bump, one hand almost completely slipped off the controls. etc. etc. etc. Washing gloves only made the problem worse. I rode a few hundred miles in these gloves before deciding that I value my life more than the fact that I look cool. I really want to like these gloves - the price is good, they fit well, feel great and look great. But they are dangerously impractical. I had a pair of Specialized Deflect gloves before them and when they wore out they looked like a good replacement. However, after almost falling a couple of times wearing these gloves, I decided to buy another pair of Deflects, admittedly three times the price. The upgrade was worth every penny. Specialized clearly tests its product under real conditions. These people don't. If you value your life, don't use these gloves for serious cycling.
