Granite countertops in our bathrooms and kitchens and laminate in the laundry room. It was nice but didn't fit in any of the rooms so I thought about dressing it up to match the look of the rest of our house. This stuff is great! I'm always suspicious of contact paper because you never know if it'll look cheap after you apply it, but this looks like the real deal! It was easy to apply and it has a wood grain texture so you don't end up with "smooth shiny" wood. I had some left over after applying it to the countertop, so I decided to cover the shelves in the cabinets. They look great and stand out more. I'm buying some more to finish this new project I've started.
