I use it about twice a week or after I shampoo my beard (that's great too). I have a semi dry beard and the Scotch Porter products were the best I have found in 5 years of trying. There are no growths on your beard, just a healthy softness. The best way to care for your beard is to wash your beard daily (basically only use conditioner) and shampoo 2-3 times a week depending on your activity. I use a leave-in conditioner after every shampoo if I feel my beard needs a little extra softening. Then apply beard cream, comb your beard with a boar comb and apply beard serum.
