I bought these to replace the bedroom lights I wrapped them around the top of the quilt I was really hoping they would be bright enough to illuminate the eye space alas , if you wear blue, it says if there's a black light in the room everything will glow, you'll see all the fluff, if you just turn on the white light at the brightest light it's not that bright, I'll say that it is very well assembled, the quality and workmanship is top, you can shorten it to a certain length with scissors, as far as i can tell, apart from the entrances, the light itself is waterproof, be careful, the power supply unit gets a little warm, the IR sensor is not that sensitive, you need to be pretty close to use the remote control. To be honest they are good for illuminating a very small space or backlighting behind a picture but if you are trying to illuminate a space that is unmatched by any other product other than they are really good you will use them placed
