At first I gave this drone a 1 rating, but if it allows me I'll change my rating a bit and I know I'll give it 4 stars. I had serious concerns about flying it indoors for some time and wasn't thrilled with using it outdoors. I still don't really like flying indoors and have had much more success flying much cheaper drones in the same area. I used it all night after the motors and batteries had cooled and charged. I still don't think it will be my favorite home drone and I probably won't be using it indoors much. However, I bought it for the street. I put it back outside. Outdoors I know this is an amazing drone. There was light wind at 5 to 10 mph and even in beginner mode it handled the wind well. The drone was extremely easy to fly and very enjoyable to fly. I kept it at about 10 feet and below to even out the wind, which looked like the top branches of the trees were swaying to be taller. I do the same with all my drones. I expect my opinion and enjoyment of flying this drone to continue to improve as I get better at flying my drone with the Altair #AA 108 camera and can take it to my favorite flight zone which is much larger. It's also a sturdy little drone. I've crashed indoors many times with no damage. I haven't fallen outdoors yet, but I think everything will be fine if I do. The blade guard is excellent. Charging the batteries, installation and removal is very easy. Now I'm proud to own an American drone. Update: I know I can't rate this drone. I downgraded my rating to 3 stars because the scan disk is stuck under its seat and I can't find a way to remove it. So I can't use the camera. I don't think it was my fault it stayed the way it should have been designed better. I'm only posting this because Altair just asked me to review again today. Apparently they don't read reviews. Also, some parts are made in China, so while they assemble it in America, they don't make all the parts. Of course, Apple doesn't make or produce phones here. So I guess it shouldn't matter, but somehow it does, lol. However, I have flown this drone many times and it is a good drone and I really enjoy flying it. Flying is pretty easy too. Just want to take a photo or video with it. Imo if you need a much better drone just for flying I would go for the Bugs 3. No frills and not really for a beginner, but it flies really well and costs about $20 less.
