Review on Purina ONE SmartBlend True Instinct Natural Turkey and Venison Dry Dog Food plus Venison Dog Treats by Heather Wood

I have 2 english bulldogs and a french bulldog and have tried all the expensive pet food. One of my bullies has allergies and eye problems, so I wanted food that didn't make those problems worse. Tried and tested grain-free, limited ingredients, breed-specific salmon, you name it. I joined a group of bulldog lovers on Facebook and read owners' comments when asked what they feed their bullies. Of course there are those who will jump on anyone who doesn't feed boutique food or a raw food diet, but I was very surprised at how many people feed their bullies Purina One Smart Blend, so I figured it was half the price and I was more get product. Why not try. FIRST - my dogs love it. Last meal before I threw away half their food but now they feed it in combination with some Purina One wet food, licking their bowls clean. Please note that when feeding more expensive food, I also feed wet food. Still wouldn't end it all. SECOND - My bulldog with eye problems actually looks better. Less squinting and less watery tears (he had entropy surgery but allergies still cause his eyelids to roll in and the surgeon said there was nothing we could do except steroids to reduce the swelling). I think grain free actually did him more harm than good. So this meal was a real blessing. THIRD - The feces are solid not liquid, some of the previous products caused horrible loose stools. Overall I am very happy with this dish. I will say that it is not as pretty as the more expensive products. By this I mean that the pieces of food are not all uniform and perfectly shaped. I don't care and neither do my dogs. To be honest, I kick myself in the ass every time I think about how many years I spent feeding my dogs more expensive food when such a good alternative was right in front of me.
