Absolutely normal! best irons
It heats up VERY quickly and is a pretty good standard flat iron. The only thing I don't like is that even though it's rose gold (nice color), if you have even a little oil on your hair (e.g. unwashed hair on day 2), there are noticeable oily streaks on the plates leaves. It can be deleted, but that's just a minor gripe. I'm by no means a person who does anything with my hair, but my old straighteners were black and white plates so seeing it wasn't a problem. The rest works great! I haven't tried curling my hair yet. I like the pivoting cable.
