Crack lid! in food storage

We've had these canisters for less than a year. Stainless steel is very light/thin but works well. Problem: As others have noted, some of the hard plastic covers on the back have cracked around the hinge area. Other rectangular containers bought around the same time are of much higher quality. and show no cracks. Can't recommend her!

LEAK PROTECTION AND SECURE CLAMP KEEPS FOOD FRESH: Rubber seal stays in place and fits perfectly to the rim of the canister. This prevents air from entering and protects the closure of the glass. Sealed canisters not only protect the contents from insects and moisture, but also ensure that they stay fresh for a long time.
