I have brown sugar in one and just decided on my son's ocean diorama, we needed 'sand' and the brown sugar is still wet. It's been months since I've used brown sugar! When researching airtight containers I was gravitated towards the Oxo popup button but the popup button reviews stopped working and because they are so expensive I decided not to use them. These living room kitchens offer excellent sealed functionality and the clip-on piece on top is solid.
