Communication with the recipient is terrible!

If I knew that this product uses a receiver to connect the mouse and keyboard, I would never have bought it. First, the handset is so oddly shaped that it doesn't sit anywhere comfortably. The shape also makes it difficult to press the connect button without moving the receiver. Secondly, if you connect a mouse and then (after 20 seconds) a keyboard, the receiver does not indicate that they are connected. You just have to try them. The computer I tried to use it with requires a keyboard input before Windows starts. My installation went like this. Press the receiver button, press the mouse connect button, wait 20 seconds, press the receiver button, press the keyboard connect button, check the keyboard, no response, wait a minute, repeat the above steps. I did this for 30 minutes before getting a connection. This process must be repeated every time you turn on your computer! Third, there are no on/off switches for the keyboard and mouse. When the computer is on, they are on. I guess that means I don't have to reconnect my mouse and keyboard to the receiver, but I'm just wasting their batteries waiting for downloads and updates (which happens quite often). In the few hours I've had this set, I just wanted to throw it away. I just want to plug it in and get it working, but this combo set doesn't allow that. And I have to reset it every time I turn on the computer or change the batteries. Terrible, terrible, terrible design.
