Came with its own resealable plastic bag with one vent hole on each side. The waist band is a wide elastic and is reinforced with the front ties. There is a full-size brief lining. The material is polyester which has a nylon-like feel. The front side has two deep pockets on each side and the back side has one deep pocket sealable with it velcro band. Length is correct on both front and side.my buttocks are fully covered.I can wear this in the water, on a kayak, or walking on the beach without appearing overexposed. The nylon-like feel of the material makes me think that a water drop would slide off the fabric. I love the bright coral color, which will make it stand out when I am in the water (for safety). Also, even if the shorts is wet, the outline of the full-brief lining is all that would show. The shorts are not loose; the cut comfortably follows the line of my thighs without hugging.I bought two pairs, in different colors and print patterns, and found the same observations to be true for both.Based on the two pairs I received, I can recommend this product.
