Obviously DJI is one of the best companies in the quadcopter industry and there are definitely many companies out there shamelessly trying to copy them, but I am happy to report that the IDEA30 is not one of them. One of my first impressions. This quad was just as good as the case that came with it, although I have to admit it smelled quite bizarre (chemical) for a short time after opening it. I was also impressed with the overall performance of this quad, it has powerful engines which is a good thing because it's a tough boy. This can turn out to be both good and bad, but it depends on how well it holds up if it breaks, as it feels very durable and well made in my hands. Although I haven't crashed it yet, I've flown it. several times with an average flight time of about 16 minutes, it came with a battery and I'm not sure where or if there are other batteries available to buy. Before taking it into the air, you'll need to go through a "pre-flight check," which is a list of items to properly set up and connect this quad to the app, as well as calibrate the gyroscope and compass. Honestly. I wish the app was a little better as overall it's the weakest part of this ecosystem, slowing you down every step of the way. I really enjoyed flying this quad, although I usually fly freestyle quads it was surprisingly fun for one of these quad guys. that's a great value. 5/5 stars
