This is how extension cords should be designed in this century. This eliminates almost all problems with large wall warts taking up 2 or even 3 spaces on a typical power strip. It's still ugly when everything is plugged in, but I don't know anyone who shows their extension cord. It's very functional, allows all plugs to be used (provided you have at least 3 non-warts) and offers surge protection. I was able to replace 2 strips of these because there was no more connector overlap (and I have an extra one!). Because if it's useful, I think it's a better buy than cheaper straight-six models. Also, if you're using really cheap power strips, you should be aware that they may not offer surge protection, just extra plugs. Read the label carefully. Finally, the fork in the wall at a 90 degree angle will match the furniture much better. This expansion was really "designed" and not just put together to make money.
