It's such a small thing, but the right shower curtain liner can really transform your showering experience. I used to use a standard 3g shower liner which would bulge and stick to you despite the magnets sewn into the bottom. I could never keep it clean either, no matter how many times I took it to be cleaned and bleached. This constantly creates layers of soapy water and bacterial mold. Imagine the horror of walking into the shower to wash up and find yourself wrapped in a nasty clear trash bag filled with soap scum and germs. This was one of my best purchases under $10. 8g is the ideal thickness both in terms of laying the curtain flat (magnets can really do the job with a thicker weight!) and in terms of cleaning. I just need to dry off and I'll be fine. Nothing builds up or grows on either side of the plastic. I also appreciate that the outgassing was so minimal that I didn't even notice the smell when the packaging was first opened and the curtain raised.
