Review on ๐ŸŒฟ Botanical Linen Stephanie Ottoman by Linon by Joyce Brown

Looks good with lots of storage

I was about to buy one of those folding stools that are nothing more than a box when the Linon model caught my eye. I love the fact that it has legs and the print inspired by 18th and 19th century botanical illustrations made this ottoman very special to me. It is approximately 31.5 inches long, 15.5 inches wide and 11.5 inches high. The height of the ottoman with legs is 17 inches. For storage, it has a depth of 7.5 inches. Supplied in a sturdy box. The only assembly required is the legs, which was easy to do. Includes instructions, hardware and Allen key. The ottoman gives us a place to sit and put our shoes on, as well as a good place to store clothes and sheets. I wouldn't put heavy things there or on the ottoman because it doesn't have solid walls, just a wooden frame with a fabric stretched over it. Even so, my mom and I have sat on it side by side so it can support about 200 pounds. The lid is covered with a thin layer of foam. Convenient enough for my purposes. What I wasn't so enthusiastic about is that the lid is not covered with a single piece of fabric, but with four triangular pieces sewn together and the print design unfortunately doesn't fit at the connection points. Also, the lid is darker than the rest of the ottoman. Apart from these aesthetic details, I am very satisfied with the stool. I think if it's not treated roughly it can go on like this for a while. It looks stylish and gives me much needed storage space.
