As graphics cards get thicker with heatsinks and fans, this was a great addition to move my USB 3.0 card to another slot away from the graphics card The way I have it, there is only a 1x slot. This allowed the graphics card to get full air so it now runs much cooler, and the USB 3.0 card is now easier to reach behind my tower as it's in a separate slot.
