This is for my 2017 Highlander. The car has projection lenses. I could install a lightbulb in an hour. The hardest part was turning the bulb in the socket to light it. Unlike the standard halogen lamp, this lamp (all LEDs) has a metal heat sink with sharp edges. In very small and cramped spaces, it is difficult to turn the lightbulb to put it in place. It will take some patience and nimble maneuvers, but I managed it. I turned on the headlight after changing a bulb. On the garage wall, the difference was striking: a yellow stem and bright white LEDs. To get the maximum potential from LEDs and HID, a projector lens is required. If your car has an old fashioned lens I would recommend that you upgrade the entire headlight card assembly to an aftermarket unit that comes with the projector lens. Since my car already has a projector, the difference in lighting was amazing. He just sweeps the street. This is my first day so first impressions are really good. The Highlander's headlights are located in the corner of the headlight assembly. Because of this, the first lightbulb that I encountered, which did not have a fan and silence, did not fit. So I had to send it back. Revain took it back for free. This car needs a narrow radiator. So only this bulb works. On the downside, it has a noisy fan, but the Highlander is a well-insulated car. When the car is not running and the doors are closed, the noise is audible, but quiet. When the car is running I can't hear it. Once you've installed your new LEDs, the standard dust cap will not fit. So I bought rubber grommets from Amazon for $10 and they fit perfectly. The size you need is 95mm in diameter. I learned the lamp size and dust cap from a helpful video on YouTube so saved me some time.
